What Are We About?

This website is for you. It is for the people of the North West of England (take that location very generally) to use and exploit, to find out about what is happening in your area, and it is for all the promoters, artists and anyone else to advertise and let people know what they are up to.

The Beginnings

NWDNB.co.uk was formed in late 2001. Sol had noticed that for too long there hadn't been any solid internet platform for people in the North West. Teaming up initially with Asok, they pioneered the first incarnation of the website we know today. That version launched early 2002.

The site has always been well accepted by those within the scene - proving an invaluable tool for any junglist. Poi joined the team a few months after the first version was launched, and work soon began on the second installment - we wanted to build a site that you, the users, can contribute to. You will notice you can submit information to pretty much every part of the site. This is your website.

Since launching the second version, the site has gone from strength to strength, from a couple of hundred users and a few thousand hits a month, up to the thousands of users and millions of hits a month we now see. NWDNB regularly hosts nights in both Liverpool and Manchester, and we have many exciting things on the horizon. Keep tuned!
