View Full Version : Serious addiction problems - i need help

I'm beginning to realise it recently - i'm not sure if i can come to terms with it tho. I've got an addiction. It's bad. Real Bad.

I know you may think i'm just caught up in it all, but it's not so bad really, it all is definitely worth it. I mean, it leaves you short of money, you cant sleep properly, but then you're always in a good mood.

It can make me antisocial, locked away in my bedroom for hours on end, selfishly soaking up and indulging in the wares i just cant stop buying.

Anyone got any suggestions with what to do with a mammoth vinyl addicion?

:D :D

You need to go into detox. This means complete vinyl avoidance for a few months. As a special favour, I'm willing to take all your vinyl off your hands for a while - just until you feel better. No need to thank me, really :)

I've got a girlfriend - but she doesn't help me an awful lot, she's almost as bad as i am. possibly even worse.

Its all good, if it aint vinyl itd be designer shit like cds which are a shit hit and cost too much, viynl is natural man. It aint an addiction its a gift given to you by the gods of the junglist movement, keep it up and one day our church will recognise our saintly tallents of turtablism and enable us to reach a higher musical plain. Or it might just make us skint and in a gutter!

Keep the faith!

I'm suffering from the same problem. I find myself buying records, even when I know that i'm not gonna have enough money, even to eat for the next week! Someone must have a solution!

Gav what you at today, do you fancy coming round for a mix?

Bad Company are one of the best drum and bass production teams I have ever heard.

Not that good at mixin though, some of the tapes Ive heard of them ,i tell ya!

Heard any of their band stuff, what are they called, Digital Nation.

Me mate recorded a fabs and groovs set they did as the new band, got some really good new tunes, its mad, they all start singing, crazy ey.

There is a old(?) rock band called Bad Company so maybe it's that.
They're now called )3|E( or something - though I'm not sure how you'd pronounce that properly :)

A bit like Prince and his 'symbol' phase I suppose :)

How much will it cost to get in to the Chrome thing next Saturday then? I'm trying to talk my flat mate into going but she's a bit skint.

If someone could tell me I would appreciate it

Thanx xxx

)EIB( and Bad Company are not the same thing!

Bad Company, is the person, DJ, producer whatever.. he collaborates but thats his own name.

I read this on the )EIB( website some time ago, i cant find the website now, i'll have a look on a vinyl when i get home.. The website ( the )EIB( one) said something like..

"Welcome to the )EIB( website, the collaboration so commonly mislabelled 'Bad Company' " - aparrently )EIB( is basically Bad Company, but they get loads of other people on there too..

Am i talking complete crap here? Someone help :)

This is what I understand:

Bad Company are the 4 we all know the same as )EIB(...they had to change there name cos of legal issues as an old rock group have the name bad company. So they changed it to this unpronouncable thing...knowing that everyone would still call them bad company but the legal issues were solved. )EIB( are bad company plain and simple. They dont like being called that anymore though in case they get sued by the group (they especially dont like being called that by dj's live on radio 1 ;) )

and it must be said that )EIB( are capable of total fucking brilliance, but i wouldnt have "inside the machine" as a desert island disc meself...er btw...www.dogsonacid.com.....www.bcrecordings.com

I've got spacehopper but i tend to play the flip (Tonight).. They're both OK but nothing ferocious about em, i just like Tonight and how different it is to anything i've heard before..

Grimey as phat ya, but likebumfat says, it gets well overplayed.. once in the night is fine ;)

Thanx to everyone for telling me about the Chrome nite...
Its sounds like it will be good - I really miss decent music when I'm up here cos my Scouse mates either like cheese or house - neither or which are my thing!

Hopefully I'll make it there Saturday xxx
