... an NWDNB cd of tunes that have been posted on this forum?
Seems a shame that people have worked so hard to produce some really great tunes -- but after they're posted here; nothin much happens to em (ok cept for the few who will get em pressed to vinyl!)
Like I said there's some really good tunes been produced -- and if there was a bunch of them on cd; well I'd play and enjoy em! (I dunno how to get streaming Real Media audio onto cd -- so can't play a lot of the tunes unless I'm at the p.c ... fuckin dialup!)
And for those who don't have the opportunity or ability to get their tunes pressed -- what better PR than having people playing their stuff in their homes n cars etc?
Just a thought

Yeh nice one Woody!
But from the lack of replies on this -- maybe it's not such a popular idea? :(
Let's see what Review Forum Overlord Frisky thinks :)

i like this idea, this is definately something to think about for the future, money made from the cd's could go into the costs for running the site. At the moment i don't think there is a wide enough range of tracks to make a cd, i'd prefer a bigger range of styles. So it's up to you guys to make some more tracks, get them reviewed, then review others. i think whatever goes on the cd is down to you guys. whichever tracks get the most votes by a certain date go on the cd. what do you think ?

There's plenty of other & better ways that the site & NWDNB could make money as a commercial venture, that aren't being explored.
I was thinking more along the lines that any profit made would/could be divided between those who had produced the tracks ... Give em the buzz of having sold records n that.

I didnt set Nwdnb up to be a commercial venture. We set it up for the love of the music.
;)
Just wait till after Christmas I'll start pushing it again - we'll see what happens then.

That's what I meant -- that if you wanted to make money for the site there are other ways, or commercial ventures, that would make more money, more easily... (Crappy syntax to blame there, sorry!).
i think we could start charging £25 per post on this site.
hey bumfat, i bet your "3 days to go" posts would soon feck off ey....
