Drum & Bass:

Entity's new summer smash "Portugal" is now released on EZ Rollers "Lickable Beats 2" compilation. The tune features on both the EZ Rollers' mix CD and also on the first Vinyl 12" EP from the series. Portugal features alongside tracks from the likes of EZ Rollers and Flytronics and the good time Latin vibe'd tune has recieved plays from DJs as varied as Fabio, Marky, Bukem, Roni Size, Hype, Brian G, Bailey, Fresh, Pendulum Twisted Individual, Kenny Ken, Phantasy & Shodan, Futurebound, Xample, Crystal Clear, Phoneheads (Germany), AK1200 (USA) and many more.

More D&B news to follow soon, including info on Entity tunes to feature on the forthcoming "Circuit Breakers LP" on Viper Recordings.

Breakz:

Entity have been working hard with their Manchester bredrin - Mr.Psik - on the second release for E.T.Breaks. Entitled "Papercut Your Japseye", this is a massive slice of industrial breakbeat from the Fusetrax prodigy. The flipside will feature an Entity Remix, bridging the gap between Breaks and DnB - has to be heard to be believed! Watch this space for more info.

E.T.Breaks had its first release in January 2005, the tunes 'The Angels Fell' and '3G' have been tearing up dancefloors, with support from Quest, Breakfastaz, Pete Samplers, Baobinga and many more! 12" copies can be bought from all good breakbeat retailers.

Streetwise said... "Entity turns in our first slice of bassline breaks for 2005. A chilling offering that delves deep into the groove side of things with its sweet bassline switches and rumbling subs. A key player in 2004 and it looks like Entity is set to do the same this year!"

Finally, Quest and Baobinga's new breaks / dubstep crossover label; Combat Wax, have picked up "Step Up" - Entity's new hardcore tearout tune. Set for release very soon, this one is being rinsed by big DJs including Ollywood, Quest, Breakfastaz and more. Backed with "Weapon Of Choice" by Quest - this release has gotta be one of the choicest bits of wax released this year! This stage in Entity's journey brings them into the Cyberfunk family, making this their highest profile breaks release to date!
