'other' venues in manchester

me and my bro jez (contrast, 2moro!) wanna stick a hip hop/d&b night on. im a bit confused bout hirin venues and stuff, i wanna try a place that hasnt been used for it b4. i think phoenix would be pretty good to try out (they got a phat ol' sound system in there), dunno how much itd cost tho....

what y'all think? any other suggections for venues would be nice.

The pheonix is great - it would make an excellent venue. Been to a few good old skool nights in there...

Also you could try Sofa Cenral on princess street - thas were the soul:r nights are - its right round the corner from were i work.

then theres element on oxford road but thats a bit of a shit venue to be honest...

I think sofa or phenox would be best - if your in manchester and you wanna meet up for a chat about it let me know...
