Downstairs:

Noize presents a night of heavy drum and bass from Sheffield's Junglist Alliance - DJ Danger, HooD e, Marksman, K-23 (tbc), MCs Snipa, Easy Dollar$ along side Noize residents King Blue, LX DJ and Will B.

Upstairs:

Chilled hip hop, breaks, beats etc from Noize's own residents

8pm-late @ the Font Bar, New Wakefield St. Entry FREE

Yeah attention all Manchester junglists - it's Free entry on the 3rd so check it out - No big names but some seriously heavy drum n Bass. If you want to know wht the scene is like in Sheffield check out www.junglistalliance.co.uk and www.24seven.org.uk.

Excellent to see some stuff from Sheffield pressing over here - I know i'm probably just grossly underinformed about happenings over there - but what is going on?

Much news on the DnB/jungle/breakbeat front over there?

I've been browsing the junglist alliance site for a bit now, keep pushing things, big up!

I'm curious, how come you have ended up putting on a night in Manchester, and why is the site hosted by manchester university? Emma you are from Manc.. ?

I'm a student in Manchester. Noize is a dance music society that i set up in Sept 2002 through Manchester university. The point of the society is to get people who are passionate about dance music (DnB, hip hop, house etc) in touch with one another . We started putting on our own nights in Nov. These have mainly been DnB and hip hop nights. The main aim of these nights is to give up and coming Dj's and producers the chance to play out. It's all about meeting new people, creating links between Dj's , promoters, producers and people who are passionate about the music within Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool etc.:group:
