London Elektricity

Having taken the world by storm with the Billion $ Gravy LP in 2003 and shown the world how to tackle drum and bass 100% live, London Elektricity continue to raise the game.

Tony has been working on the new album now for about a year. And we're talking proper work! Late night song-writing sessions with Liane and MC Wrec, in the studio with the Jungle Drummer and Andy Waterworth as well as employing Landslide's technical skills to get the sonics just right on those tricky piano parts.

All the late nights are starting to pay off as the new album "POWER BALLADS" is really taking shape. The beats and bass are sounding tight for the dancefloor and there are some next level songs and lyrics on offer. Something for everyone.

The LE saga began way back in '96, and up until 2002 LE was a double-act. Tony Colman and Chris Goss made their mark in 98 with the epic "Song In The Key Of Knife", and subsequent critically acclaimed debut album "Pull The Plug". In 2002 Tony took on the project solo, as Chris concentrated on taking the NHS empire to the next level.

With the release of "Gravy" in 2003, phone calls from Fabio and Radio one requested a live session from Maida Vale - and lo, LONDON ELEKTRICITY LIVE was born.

Some DJ info for the Circus Birthday...

Stacy Pullen

Stacey Pullen Intro: Under the influence of Kraftwerk, Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills, Chicago and Italian house music and the radio icons of the Electrifyin’ Mojo and WBMX/Chicago, Stacey Pullen was nurtured in the rich, fecund musical soil of Detroit in the mid 80’s. Inspired by the mystical epicenter of the techno earthquake, The Music Institute, Stacey began spinning at local venues and underground parties only to chuck it for a short three years to pursue a collegiate career.

Drawn back by his destiny, Stacey released his Ritual Beating System under the alter ego known as Bango. The full, resonant tribal percussion of that release opened the musical minds of others who followed with tribal dance tracks of their own. Similar to the innovators that came before him, Pullen’s first release was a big sound influencing others throughout the world.

As a result of remixing projects and a hoard of releases on KMS Records, Eclipse Records, BMG/Ariola, Buzz, PIAS/Belgium, R&S, Warner, Virgin and, of course, Transmat Records, Stacey has been in demand all over the world mixing magic on the dance floors to countless fans. His exotic style has taken him all over North America, the Dutch Caribbean, Chile, Australia, Japan and throughout Europe.

At the same time he has developed his vibe into a mixture of ambient, jazzocentric grooves. Silent Phase, the signature of his first album on Transmat Records. Born under the sign of the Twins, Stacey’s music is dual in perspective and approach. True to the pure electronic sound of the 80’s/90’s, he grooves with a round, heavier African bottom. Flowing from two inherent sources Silent Phase is both the passion and energy of the soul fused with the vision and expansiveness of his mind’s eye.

Tim Deluxe

From the classic, garage stormer ‘Rip Groove’, to the seamless ‘Sirens/We All Love Sax’, to his Latin Inspired, house monster: ‘It Just Won’t Do’ - Tim Deluxe’s productions so far have been renowned for quality, Diversity and above all, making them move- Deluxe grew up in North London. At 14 he gained a Saturday job in Time Is Right records, in Islington's Chapel Market and whilst there perfected mixing skills that, although he was still under 18, led him to a slot at Ministry of Sound standing in for CJ Mackintosh - And he rocked it. In 1994, whilst still at the record shop, Deluxe met, graphic designer Omar Amidora and hardcore label: Boogie Beat, owner, Andy Lysandrou. Sharing the same enthusiasm and passion for music, the three decided to set up a label: Ice Cream Records - a certain inspiration of the speed garage movement: 'RIP Groove' under Deluxe and Amidora’s Double 99’ moniker being their most notable release in 1997. Between 1995 and 1998 Deluxe also put out releases: ‘An American Adventure EP’ and ‘I Know’ on Cross Section records - catering for the likes of Derrick May, Norman Jay, CJ Mackintosh, Erick Morillo and Darren Emerson

Layo & Bushwacker

The duo of Layo Paskin and Matthew "Bushwacka" B. are better known as co-owner and resident DJ, respectively, at the End, the tech-house club founded by the Shamen's Mr. C.
