View Full Version : Phat Camp has been cancelled!
It's official - the police have pulled the plug on Phat Camp. Apparently they have had it from their sources from afar as Manchester that 2000+ people are expected to the night making it the biggest rave in years!
I suspect that the police are looking at this site as they claimed that promotion has spread up to Liverpool and Manchester! The only place that this night is advertised further than 10 miles from the venue is on this site! The night that was on last week at Hendre Hall was also crawling wih DS as ive recently been informed.
They will not listen to my pleas that if 2000 people turned up that would probably be a miracle for a first go at promoting a night in North Wales in a 400 capacity venue. :conf:
Something smells incredibly dodgy to me - and I suspect some butts need to be kicked!!

Once again apologies to all involved in the night. I have tried a number of options to make the night go ahead but have not been succesfull!
But plans are already afoot for Phatter Camp - this time in a proper venue where crowds of people will not be a problem

Cant believe that shit mate well out of order. They should be thanking you for bringing a bit of intrest to the area.
You need to link up with the council or some shit try and get round your problem officially.

I'm apalled and disgusted by whatever powers had this cancelled. Obvious blithering idiots who dont want any kind of industry brough to their area. I'm truly saddened :(

Im so pissed off with this, i have been looking forward to this for months. Its true though there are LOADS of places to hold another night, even better that the hendre.
But i also hope that 2000 people turn up at the Hendre next week and start kickin off, that would serve them right. However, it would be funny to watch.

Police are not to blame!
After a weekend of negotiating with various people I can state that the police are not to blame for pulling the plug on this night. I spoke to the police officers involved with the matter and they assured me that they only went up to Hendre to enquire as to how many people they thought were going to come and whether they would require extra police. They also assured me that they had no authority to interfere with other people's business plans, and would never come up with a figure of 2000 for a local night and so would not urge the night to be cancelled.
So, it is the venue who have fabricated the rest around the police visit. Ive had a feeling the owner wanted to cancel since the wrong time went on the flyer and I work for the council. I suspect he's worried about his entertainments licence, but still does not justify his actions and the money that I have lost on the venture. He has agreed to pay me my deposit back for the venue, but will not pay anything back towards the extra costs I have incurred.
I am looking at a new venue this week and hopefully Phatter Camp will be on in the near future.

Kinda explains it a bit more.....the owner is a bit arsy....remember last time i played there.....he wanted to turn it down , while house was playin well louder nex door.....and every1 was in the DnB room..
It was well funny...every1 started boooin him-he got well stressed
