I asked the same question a couple of weeks back and got no response.
Lex pointed the place out to me the other day - I know where it is and will drop in soon.
Wasn't too bothered about going there until Lex told me they've got a sign up saying......
"NO SCOUSE HOUSE AND NO GARAGE."
YEYYYYYYY !!:agree:

my mates mate owns it man.
its better for the techno in there than the d'n'b but theyve got quite new tunes in and are only just really gettin started.
theyve got big deck stands to be installed yet and a few more bits and bobs but its nice 2 see another record shop pop up.
also try my cousins shop 'plastic records' its just moved nxt 2
3 beat and me cousins havin murder b cos 3 beat have bin tellin distributors not to sell me cousin tunes or they'll lose 3 beats custom.
obviously my cousins shop dont buy as much as 3 beat so the record distributors have been playin along with 3 beats orders.
anyway hes just got a HUGE selection of tunes from alphamagic
and a big load of old stuff as well
if you buy a few tunes as well he'll knock a few quid off.
just tell him your his richards mate and he said he'll do you them cheap if you buy a few.
fuck 3 beat the arrogant shits
i was really impressed when i went down, they had a lot of whites..

X-Fade is a sound wee shop.
Plastic Records is ok and 3-Beat is full of tit heeds!!
I most say though the record shops in Liverpool are not that great!
Long live Rub a Dub in Glasgow and Underground solution in Edinburgh!
So what would you all like from a well rounded record shop in liverpool - explain to me your ideal record shop - seriously though - dont take the piss - there where never be naked women dancing in record shop :D
Just interested in yer views :D

Not been into any shops in Liverpool for a while, but just a decent selection of DnB would be nice, and staff that were enthusiatic about it. Went into Eastern Bloc yesterday-wicked selection of tunes. Cheers Roscoe!

ok - can someone explain where on dale st X-fade is, cause i work just round the corner and went to check it out a couple of weeks back in my lunch hour..
.i walked the length of dale st and back again and didnt find squat, but i'm not the most alert person so i could quite easily have walked into the window and still not spottted it - is it @ the Castle street end or down the bottom?

What I would like from a record shop is a bit of silence - so the people behind the counter can hear you when you need to ask for something.
Listening posts are fab & Obviously stocks are important - Bargain Bins are good (when the tunes are actually labelled)
Come to think of it - labels are really important when you're sifting through loads of stuff - e.g. "This one's being played by Fabio / Dillinja etc"....gives you an idea of what type of tune it is so you'll have a good idea of whether you want to listen to it or not.
Stalag....I'm not the best with directions but it seems to me that Dale Street might be in 2 halves & X-Fade is on the same half as the Imperial Buildings (white building which you can see from the roundabout outside the tunnel)
