Ah well, at least there'll be a dj there.

Distinct lack of "great night had by all" reports for this ...

Didn't anyone have a good time?

Yeah I had great night, unfortunately I only caught Sappo and Krust's sets, but both were wicked!!!

Wasn't great, but it could have been.
Searches at the door, which we've not had there before.
As usual, the early crowd had gravitated to the main dnb room, which this time was upstairs. Kaleida was rocking it to the Mcr youth, some of whom appeared v.young. The middle floor is a chillout these days, no dancing there really. Sol+Xample were equally rocking the ground floor, which is our favourite room in the place but it was well cold in there cos it was quite empty. Back upstairs Mark OD took over from Kaleida as the place filled up, we went for a wander and discovered that the other rooms hadnt!
We made it back upstairs just in time for Sappo, who played the best set, and built up the atmos nicely for Krust, who just wound it down again! He seemed to play a load of old full cycle tunes that bored me silly so went for another wander, and was surprised to find JJ Frost was playing to about 20 people. He had some heavy rhythms, but we didnt linger.
Eventually Silver finished off upstairs, but he was pretty boring this time. We went back downstairs in time for Mark XTC to play the Nitrous remix, and wished we had stayed down there instead of watching Silver.
Someone upstairs played the Barcelona vocal mix, which was a disappointment, as I found the original really uplifting, and now its not!
Basically there was no excitement in the atmosphere, despite valiant efforts by various dj's. (Some tried harder than others!)
We have had 3 great nights at Metropolis up till now, and this one had all the ingredients for another, but it never quite happened, and I'm not quite sure why.
Best DJ=Sappo Best MC=Chilla who was incredibly fast.
Respect to Paebac, good to meet you.
Total board members spotted (including ourselves) =13
14 present but we never met Ben D.Ploy who was there somewhere!

reason why frost was only playing to a few people = he kept playing the same tunes .....and rewinding them .....I heard one tune played at least 4 times .....damn good tune tho ...had a sample in it about "planes crashing into the pentagon" ....any1 know what it was ??? ......seriously tho .....I never heard a dj keep playing the same tunes in one set before .......maybe play one tune twice in a set if its a really cool new dub .....but playing 3 or 4 tunes more than twice is just annoying no matter how good they are.

I agree with most of what bumfats sayin, had a pretty good night but found myself walkin up and down the stairs for most of it tryin to decide on a room to stay in! Didn't get there til quite late on...but caught sappo's set and he was on top form!!! Tonn was wicked as usual, as was mc strategy on the top floor! Personally thought Krust was ok-ish but bored me eventually. Silver also couldn't get me dancin so ended up downstairs wit Mr XTC who got the shape-making back!! All in all it was a good night, thought it'd be a lot busier tho!!!
