I know it's kinda hard but i enjoy drum and bass music alot, i listen to it when i'm going to work, when i'm doing work, when i leave work, when i get home, practically everywhere but i wanna get into dj'in but i need to learn how to mix and use the decks, yeah i'm a noob when it comes to that but could anyone teach me how to use decks and mixers?
i'll put the kettle on.
:rolleyes2
in return, i'll teach you all how to maintain your pc properly and if you want to upgrade it, i could sort something out for you..............

if your serious to get started youll need at least a grand.buy some decks and a mixer and about 50 records.some tape/cd packs and some dmc videos even if you dont want to scratch.listen and watch all the time then practice all the time.a hour a day and youl be good in no time.have a strict practice and work ethic, its the only way to succseed.
tell ure bird if u have one about ure new venture and try and get her involved(buy her a mic maybe!)so she dosent winge at u for quality time when your practicing.save ure money for records and more equipment dont spend it on nights out etc.....
also like you do listen to music all the time to get a good sense of rhythm and structure.also try and buy some new records every week,it will keep you happy, bulk your collection and give you new tracks to mix.peace omas good luck!!

i've been told the same omas, the decks i've been told to get are 1210's and a decent mixer, i don't mind shelling out on those but i wanna get into dj'in seriously, i might need to do some overtime at work but hey, i don't mind.

its worht it mate believe me, i have a fuckin sweet set up now and its totally worth the money... best to spend more now than buy shit that breaks down and u cant resell at a good price...
If you dont like it, then good equipment keeps its value well if u come to sell it

Teach yourself its the only way , fuck off all the dvd thingys , i taught myself how to mix how to scratch and how to produce , i started on sound lab 1600 belt drives and got 1210's after that people nock the dlp 1600's but they were better than any direct drive decks at the time bar 1210's 1200's , for belt drives they were closer to 1210's not for quality but the way you work the record on the plate pushing it and keepin it in time with your finger ahhh memories i got mine for 40 squid and sold them for 20 sheets with a mixer im not advising you to get the old soundlab dlp 1600's but you can learn on anything and if you can mix on shit decks you can mix on any decks , so it might be worth checkin out you can do it on cheap ones before you shell out 600. 700. 0r a grand on a set up , my mate has got some of the Vestax scratchin decks for sale , he got them for his b day about 5 years ago cost about 1600quid with a mixer and stuff he's prob used them about 5 times , i know its a crime , but that is what happens
anyone want them and pm ill pass him your details , i think he wants about 6/7 ton for them and a mixer

...there is some slight damage, one of the tone arms is slightly bent and im missing the on/off switch top off the other but otherwise they just need a clean..
....they also came with slip mats, a pair of stanton 500 mk2 and a pair of concorde pro s' as well, but one of em i dropped when i picked em up and the end of the handle on the cart snapped off...
