How you doing,
The ER1 is a drum synth so as for meaty synth lines and pads etc its wont produce. With it being a drum synth the drum sounds are very electro sounding. There not as dence as the kicks and snares on a 909 but equally as crisp.
There's real time and step sequencing but its limited, best use with computer, (unless playing live).
It has 256 patterns, four part DSP, four part PCM sound engine with effects, records knob movement as you play.
You can get nice sub bass tones out of it and the delay is shit hot. Its got midi through, in - out.
Ive only used the Korg with VST-SX so i couldnt say how it would be with Reason.
To be honest it may not be what your looking for, if your looking to make D & B then the drum (kick/snare) sounds are pretty week. The hats, claps, cymbols are wicked though. You can also get some pretty strange shit out of it to. Have a scan on the web site.

Cheers Dyl

ok cheers for being honest mate, those things are going for $200 plus boxed with instructions on ebay so maybe you could get a few more £££ anyway!

what i really want is a laptop to run reason 2 on, i hate having to sit in front of a computer to make tunes, it just doesn't feel relaxed enough.

i want to be able to lye on the sofa with a laptop and just chill :D
