Ok - the long quest to become in any way competent with reason starts. And here is my first in what is surely to be a massive MASSIVE list of questions.

Ive got an sample/loop/whatevertherightnameis that i play, for example, in the dr rex player. I want this sample to come into the tune and build up slowly. It seems that i can, in the sequencer, adjust something that allows the loop to slowly gain in volume....but i cant figure out what to do.

Also, i assume i could use the same principle on an effect unit - that is, plug an effect unit in, run the sample thorugh the unit, and in the sequencer apply the same kind of command to let the effect unit slowly take control of the sample.

Does this make sense? I thought (stupidly) at first that this would be the velocity thing, but alas, i realised that im really far off there. I think this would be a major step for me if someone could share tips on how to do it. Ive trawled the manuals but to no avail.

you mean you want a kind of fade in getting louder yeah?

should be able to do it with the velocity on the sequencer

Once you have copied you loop/break from the Dr Rex module onto a sequencer track (right click on Rex and select copy loop to track), you can then just draw controllers in the sequencer to give a gradual fade.

you can have a seperate controller lane in the sequencer for pretty much every slider and button on every instrument - you just need to create the controller lane in the sequencer, then you can draw in and edit whatever you want

Ah yes - this is it - the controller lane...

Ive seen it here and there its like blue curves i just couldnt figure out how to get it to work. Can i make a controller lane for every nob and button on the particular bit of kit im sequencing...if so...thats fucking ace.

Ill phone grooverider now. Watch out -

Yes, any know you can move or turn on and off can be animated on those blue tracks.

Try and see if you have the manual as a PDF file in your propellerheads foler, that explains a lot:guitar:
