:talk: Any recomendations on Soundcards
I'm about to try and upgrade soon (from Shitty soundblaster live)
I've heard that the Soundblaster Audigy is not that great.
But I've heard good things about the M Audio Audiophile.

I can spend about £100..
does anyone know a good one for that price? or where to go for second hand?

I'm pissed off now. On cubase SX, as soon i i start to build any kind of good tune, it all starts stuttering.. I've just upgraded my RAM from 256 to 512 (should i get more?)
I got 1.6G pentium 4.

hopefully the soundcard will be the answer.

If I get an Audiophile please don't throw eggs and graffiti my house.

Get an Audiophile. I got one and it rocks hard! :toke: :slayer:

PS Advice: When it starts slowing down (the soundcard wont fix a lot here), solo a channel that takes a lot of CPU time (like Absynth for example, that one eats like hell), do a mixdown of only that channel, import it as an audio track and use it as reference and delete the channel with the VST. And always have a file with all VST's + MIDI not to loose any information on your track. Of couse, do that for channels that are more-less definitive, and not for ones you're workin on. Logic users would say "bounce that muhfugga..."
