ok here s the deal:
as part of my course in studio engineering / music production, i m supposed to get into the studio and professionally (hem) record a "band". the "band" gets a free recording out of it and me the experience.

given though that i would prefer to spend the 12 hours in the studio working with music i actually like, i m trying to find a way to record DnB: this means either DJ + MC + Drummer (very important and effing difficult!) or a live DnB band (like Dead Silence Syndicate who I love but who wont be too keen probably on paying to come all the way down from London for it).

is anyone on here interested / up for it / or in the know of where I can find what I m looking for?

any hints most appreciated

Interesting! :) When will you know about the drummer? I m not allowed to just use a DJ and an MC unfortunately :brick:

More details? well the studio is in downtown Manchester (we have two choices) and we would probably do two 6-hour sessions or ideally three 4-hour sessions. You dont pay nought for the studio time or for me. You get an audio CD out of it and the ProTools data files, if that s any use to you. But you ll have to pay for your trip to Manchester and back, so I guess it does matter where you re coming from.

YES. I need a live drummer because setting up and properly recording the drum kit is apparently the greatest challenge.

EXCELLENT! Sounds like a deal then. I need to have it done by the end of March. So the sooner we start the better. I have to book the studio time asap. Let me know when you ve got it sorted out with the other two.

well excited! :agree:

I htink Bhima is a drummer, why don't you ask him? If not, I can play an ice cream tub with elaccy bands on, I also play a mean kazoo.
