at last!a decent night in chester!
'breakdown' at the city bar,3rd saturday of every month!my prayers have been answered!a very good answer 2 the mcheesy trance,pop and commercial hiphop nights that everyone here loves,but miss a crucial factor.....
theyre all shite!
only reason i went out was 2 pull,but ive got a girlfriend now,so i only go out if she goes out.just usually go on pub crawls,coz the clubbing is wank.
then this little gem appeared.
thought me and my 4 mates were the only dnb heads here.wrong!loads of people down from my uni,and from chester.being in a well known and well spread bar chain,didnt think it was going to be up to much,but i was pleasantly surprised.the upstairs was quite swanky,but the night was downstairs.dead close,intimate,low level lighting,alot like X downstairs.
started off with a mix of well known and underground uk/us hip hop with some blazin scratching!then the dnb kicked in.
quite brutal,hardhitting stuff.nicely surprised.more jungle and hard hitting tunes.played some killers.'soundborg','genius fiend','freenote','the ruckus','police and helicopter','the mexican','metrosound','championsound',and more that i cant remember.
downside,started at 8(good),finished at 12(baaaaadddd!).
theyre trying 2 sort that though,get a license til 2!
dnb in chester,seriously lacking,but atleast its here!and me and my mates will keep flying the flag by playing the tunes from our bedrooms!
