ive got a crackin loop goin, but when i copy it from redrum into the sequencer, it loses half the detail.

ive turned redrum off so it soent play when i press play on the sequencer, but it just sounds shit compared to when i play it from redrum.

any ideas? :mashed:

i dont use redrum at all, well i have done but you know what i mean. what do you mean when you say you "copy it from redrum to the sequencer..."?
dont forget to check all the parameters such as the velocity, tone (etc etc) on the redrum.

Some notes transfered to the sequencer (by redrum) are too short and it cuts your samples. I think he does a snap to grid, or uses the current quantise setting and adapts note lengths to that... can't remember exatcly, haven't used reason for a while. It's enough to resize the notes a bit.

right..what i mean is

when you get a loop goin on redrum, you click on edit and "copy to track" or whatever is says, so you canb get the loop into the sequencer at the bottom of the screen yeah?

well, when i do that, the detail disappears from the loop...all the echo and reverb that sounded so fat when i played it in redrum, just disappears.

i have turned redrum off, so that it doesnt play when i press play on th transport bar, but it still sounds crap.

i just dont get it at all, ill try changing the quantise, but i dont see why that would make any difference, the notes dont move within the loop when i copy it, they just sound shit.

anyone got any clues???

from what you've said it sounds like it should work - its not a problem i've had to be honest

the only thing i can think is that you might need to add another line in the sequencer for the effects that you want on, but i would have thought that copying to track would transfer this info for you??!!

are you using the send and return for effects on the redrum itself or on the mixer channel for redrum?

yeah, im not a big fan of redrum. before i had reason 2, what i used to do was: load all my samples into redrum, do the settings on each sample, and then just draw them into the keyboard part of the editor (on the sequencer) and trigger the sam;ples from there.

well yeah, that would work, but i like the speed of redrum, i can test stuff out quickly and see whats what.

im really impressedwith reason 2 actually, i would recommend i to anyone loking to start producing.

except for this gay problem im havin...:guitar:
