after months of hard graft...we manage to get the first regular dubstep night on the go in manchester...
we've invited our good friend distinction over to get things started.
distinction has been pushing dubstep for some time in leeds, inviting and playing alongside the biggest players in the scene at the moment...digital mystikz, loefah, skream, hatcha & chef. also got his head down in the studio pumpin out some beats which we heard at transmission...heavy.
our residents will be on rotation...all BIG players in the scene in manchester.
omen is hot of his first release on tectonic...which is flying off the shelves of boomkat...and getting plays on breezeblock along with an interview which was aired not so long ago. sit tight for the next release on n-type's terrain...this guy's on fire...
se7en one part of the ever growing collective the herbal medium...usually pumping out eclectic beats of all styles. been pushing dubstep for almost a year now...finally getting recognised and being the first to play a dubstep set at metropolis (a drum & bass event), and being invited to play at various nights in liverpool, preston, leeds and other random raves and backrooms. using antidote as an opportunity to push dubstep in manchester and promote the artists which are pushing the scene elsewhere.
biome & d'script also members of the herbal medium making some heavy tunage and representing the manchester sound to the fullest.
u-basstard another master of many styles but also using antidote as a platform to push dubstep...hot off his own night ploy and working behind the counter of boomkat...he's been pushing dubstep in manc for some time now....hosted the second room at sequence playing alongside the likes of vex'd, various production, omen & andy stott
