This used to be a major undertaking, lots of resampling, running through filters and other general annoyingness.
But no longer do u have to go through so many processes that make u feel like tieing some chesse wire to a big rock at the top off a cliff face, lassoing ur own bollocks with it and then going for some X-games style skysurfing without the board. Or the parachute.
Some clever guy has released a pretty much unheard of VST plugin that has all the required functions in one unit. Kinda like Toys R Us for audio nerds. DBlue Glitch is just awesome, and it was mega cheap when he had a version for sale - £15. At the moment hes doing the new one so u cant buy it but the demo he gives away is all u really need. The audio will drop out for a small time every now and again but thats not really issue as u can bounce a fair chunk of audio without hitting the dropout :)
Has bit cruncher, flanger, phaser?, retrigger, time stretch, random and maybe summat else cant remember. I think this is pretty much a 100% must have for anyone and if u want the full version u might aswell get it while its cheap before lots of ppl hear about it.
Not much of a tutorial to go with it as its so easy to use. The interface will be familiar for both FL, Cubase and Reason users. Its a line of blocks either 4,8,16,32,maybe 64 beats long. Much like the standard sequencer in FL, all u do is click on each block and choose which effect u want, or an unadulterated pass through. Underneath the sequencer bar there are the parameter knobs for each individual effect. Easy to use and instant results.
Enjoy!
