overall tune is good, funky and flowing. I know it's not finished but there's 1 or 2 dubious keynotes - it's that high string that i'm having problems with. I think that with this style of dnb musically it has to be on it, unlike the heavy stuff where off key riffs seem to work better.
'part from that it's sounding trick, although it's not the sort of tune I buy.

Yeah - im paranoid about strings now - ever since Mr Daze said "That strings outta Key" on What would we do.

Now I think every string sounds out of key - even if it isnt !!!

So now i get Xample going - "no Lee, shut up, it's fine, stop being paranoid about the string being out of key" :p

hahahaha - Mr Daze give us ure musical opinion on this string - put my mind a rest.

:guitar: << is this guy playing in the wrong key ? :D

very very nice indeed - loving the percussion and the vox but I think that high string string is out of key

ye, the funk guitar pluck??, mmm, i would distort it ,take some of the tops/ hi out of it and add reverb, making it more muffled - mid / low sound.
das wot i say.

so is this the tip u guys are commin on?, funk soul ?

Right, here's my A-Level musician's opinion about those high strings.

First of all, it's not 'wrong' if they sound slightly discordant, if that is used to increase the tension of the sound, then they work very well. Music has no right or wrong anyway.

If you want the strings to harmonise concordantly with the key and tonality of the tune, i would recommend the following changes:

The lower of the two notes is a semi-tone higher than the original key providing a very discordant interval of a minor 2nd. To make this sound more tonal, drop it down a semitone (ie a C# to a C)

The second note is the right note, just sounding a little out of tune. Maybe try a slight pitch variation until it sounds right.

Sorry if this sounds pretentious lads.
Great tune anyway.

not really feeling the pad, nothing to do with the pattern or anything, that's all cool, i just don't like the sound of it. beats are nice, the kick could be a little crisper, just seems a little muffled. they are cool other than that, nice variations. ok, i'm at the first drop, not what i was expecting, good but needs some depth, doesn't seem bassy enough. (could be i can't hear it on these speakers, i'll rant on anyway) nothng too dominant just something to fill out the bottom end. That punchy synth sounds good. nice hook. 2nd drop is ace. nice atmosphere just before it kicks in. now i don't remember hearing any bass throughout this tune so i am pretty sure these speakers are shit. oh well. nice track. it's liquid so not really my cup of tea, wouldn't be in my record box but i'm pretty sure it'll be in everyone elses.
