there is a way of sorting it out without having the protection key
i got pissed off and ended up going back to vst5/32 cos i couldnt work out how to crack it
my mate has got it working on his system so ill ask him and see how ya sort it
i think u have to delete some files then install some other files in there place im not to sure

and dont worry it wont harm your computer
also have u had it working on your system b4?

yeah it crashed and i had to go to end program in sx then shut computer down restarted and tyried to load it back up but it kept crashin again when it was lookin for the song files ! so i went for the reinstall option ! not the best move last time i installed it it went on fine now it's saying protection error i think it's to do with cubase and not windows will check thou!

it say's an error has been signaled by the protected object server.

->application 'cubasesx' has caused the error
->no protection device connected .
it' says something about copying the crack files three of them to WINNT\SYSTEM32 DIRRECTORY but where the fuck is that !

I'm crap with this stuff.

Did you install something just before SX stopped working ?

If so, best I can advise is remove whatever you installed and check if SX works after that.

go to my computer, then your c: drive, find the windows folder, open that and i think it'll be in there (WINNT\SYSTEM32) im not certain but ill check later.

mine kept fucking up. seazing and crashing.

So I got more RAM. it made no difference.
T
hen I got a good sound card. still hardly any difference.

I had all kind of graphics programs like 3DStudio Max, illustrator Photoshop etc.. these, especially the 3D one conflicted with shit.

Tunes would close down as soon as i re-opened them just as i'd start to get cunting happy withthem . Then a tune, with fuck all vst and audio would grind to a halt.

Then i wiped my computer, and only put on music software, minimal programs. and it's firing now.
You've probably done that anyway. try to get a newer version. i think mine is 5.3 or 5.5
