Am currently trying to sort a venue in Manc and have tried a couple of places so far and been knocked back on the grounds that "drum n bass attracts the wrong sort of people". Why do people adopt this attitude? I've been going to dnb nights for ages and scarcely had a dirty look thrown my way. Whats the score???

That takes the piss totally.

I think that there was some attitude around maybe 4 or 5 years ago but ure rite when u say u aint seen attitude at clubs recently.

Just shows that a bad reputation sticks and it only takes a couple of idiots to give us all a bad name.

Keep trying :p

I agree with lee its lame the whole drum and bass attitude crap I havnt see any problems really up here in the NW, its garage causing the problems, did you here what happened in the Matrix in Reading two weeks ago? Two people got shot, what a suprise it was a garage night!!! Keep at it joe, sorry i cant make it down on Saturday in Bristol at the moment!

we have the same problem - spent weeks looking around, got rejected out of hand a few times, even when we had a business plan, budget, all the paperwork....

our place that we have dont like us getting mcr based DJs and MCs, but we had to agree really cos that was a condition of the deal...
