very nice start indeed. A bit trancy, but not enough for me to not like it. This is a very well produced piece of business you have here Loz. I personally wouldn't buy it on vinyl, i know of a few who would tho ! all i can say is that after your build on the first drop, i expected it to boom at me ( i was even smiling in anticipation !) i felt slightly deflated, not coz it's shit, it's very good, just not what i had in mind after a build like that, it lacks Vavavoom. to me this sounds like more of a b-side track. Expertly done tho, i'll give you that. i look forward to hear something with a little more bite !

Well it took ages to grab Crystal off my bloody 56k connection ...

But it was worth it!

It all just sounds so professional!
I've paid money for tunes, now sat in my box, that don't sound even half as well produced as this tune

I too was kind of expecting the tune to be a bit harder after the first drop -- but think that might be because I read Frisk's review first!

Not quite my kinda tune; but if it were to be played out - I'd still be on the floor and enjoying it; and if it was on a mix cd - I'd listen n enjoy it too.
Infact just realised I've played it 5 times already :guitar:

I'll defo have to try n grab the other tune tomorrow ;)

Loz - it is you that's done a remix of "Silence" isn't it? (hint hint :D )

No-one else seems to be sayin anythin about this so I've gotta start by saying props to the Superstylin mix. This is crispy mate...
Great great bass riff... how did you record that? sampled or live bass or keyboard?

I've got a couple of big dogs out here in San Francisco that'd definately play this out if you can hook up a decent quality copy (unless of course it's due to come out, in which case they can buy their own fuckin copy :D

Likin the crystal, not sure I would've put the guitar in the end, but some good work with the piano. I think it needs some lfo or high pass filter work on the piano though, otherwise it can sound a little "overused". Nice though... I'd probably play this.

But - once again -- Well fookin worth it.
Pure class ... And again, sounds soooo professionally made!

Would still like to hear that Silence remix - despite you sayin it's "cheesey"!

Did Andy Cato give ya a ring?

Crystal:

Like the Space synth, with building piano.

recon the drums need to be louder or more compressed, but good patterns.

I 'm not into the other thing over the piano (it all goes a bit housey/trance) in the breakdown. ( for me that is)

Definatley a summer sound, like the old school vocals.

That half speed breakdown sample (although a good sample) sounded odd.

It goes quit jolly at the end, but i that's your mate playing the guitar that's all good, but i can't imagine it going down in a DnB club.

Well put together tune

alright loz, hows trix mate?

really well produced tracks these- which studios you been using, Lipa?? really crisp sound. I'd say spot on except for maybe a couple of arrangement issues on crystal.

have you heard anything about the groove armada tune yet? Its blatantly good enough to be released, and if yousef been playin it, then the dollar should not be far!

Cant comment on the production too well, will get the lads to have a listen and see what they say.

take it ez

yeah i like the crystal rmx, very nice. i prefer the first drop, not sure about the guitar bit but thats personal preference...

production is well tight. i'd vary the beats a bit, they lack interest at times. also the high end of the beats needs to be more prominent.... maybe add a couple more hihaty patterns as well as distortion.

quality track tho mate.
