View Full Version : Reason 2.5
Thanks to Mr Wilson I am now using Reason 2.5 and all it's extra little features.
The Soundbank CD's though don't seem to want to install. Every time I run reason it asks for the CD's and has to load everything from them. Ive tried copying them into the reason folder on the C: drive without success.
Has this happened to anyone else using Reason 2.5? If so anyone know a way around it?

It worked ok for me.. Youv'e got the update to work, but just can't get the soundbanks to stick? right?
i think I had to uninstall reason and reinstall starting with the update(2.5).. It asks you to put in the orkestra or soundbank CDs a few times, then the new serial.. then maybe the soundbank again. then it works.... but it aks for the soundbanks on load up.. but I had no problem just copying the banks into the propellorheads folder.
If you still can't it may have something to do with your version 2 being different.
sounds pretty gay.
I'll tryand copy them to the folder again to see if that works.
The first time I installed it I forgot to write down the serial number and I couldn't exit the installation program to get it. So I had to cancel the installation and do it again - this is where the problem lies I think. Did you do the same as this Deval?
I'll fiddle with it tonight and keep you posted.

I've got a 'special' version of reason 1 - is there anything I can do to upgrade it, bearing in mind it is isn't registered?

nope. Apart from get a new one. you can upgrade but i think patches on cracked warez will just lock it up forever. with all of your tunes too.

with reason, upon install you get asked to install the soundbanks, as long as you keep them on your hard drive you won't get asked for the discs again. if you delete them then you will have to go through the whole rigma role again.
Reason 2.5 didn't ask if I wanted to install the soundbank cd's. Ive tried uninstalling it and trying it again but it must leave some files in the registry because it doesn't even ask for the cd's the second time around.

use reg clean then to clean it all up...
is your copy cracked. if so, does it say its a beta version? a few of my mates had the same problems. it might be something to do with your os. 98 sems to be ok, problems seem to crop up with xp.
