As Calgary's queen of the broken beats and raised roofs, DJ e.l.e.v.e.n. is no stranger behind the decks or in a packed club of breaklovers. DJing for only a few years, she's played in clubs regularly all over southern alberta. Mixing up a fresh collab of dubstep, breaks, and filthy beats, she puts on a show that is anything but ordinary. DJ e.l.e.v.e.n. caters to a crowd that doesn't mind the music a little edgier, harder or more evil. She dubs her style "fractured filth." Technically talented, brimming with dope beats and style, experimentally weird, and overwhelming stage presence means this girl can hold her weight behind the decks and still look cute at the same time. Her upcoming bookings have billed her alongside some of the best the breakbeat genre has to offer, and on stage in some of canada's sickest clubs.

Miss SW@T usually playing drum and bass switches it up on this Edition on PushRadio.com
Darlene Friesen (a.k.a. - DJ SW@T : http://www.djswat.com, Extra Strength / Push Radio ((http://www.pushradio.com/dabiyf.html) (http://www.pushradio.com/dabiyf.html%29)) / WinnipegJungle.com / - http://www.myspace.com/djswat) - Despite being a relative newcomer to Winnipeg's drum & bass scene - has already managed to develop a considerable talent and a loyal local following.
Darlene first became interested in the art of DJing in early 2005, shortly after being told by an acquaintance that she couldn't touch his turntables because they were "too technical"...
... she immediately marched down to her local music store and picked up a pair and from that day on, she got straight down-to-business - sharpening her beat-matching programming and track selection. Two short years later, after holding down a residence and aiding in promoting the successful and long-running "Extra Strength Saturdays" @ Die Maschine... nowadays Miss SW@T plays many local & out of city / province events and club-nights, whipping Canada's dance-floors into dripping masses... as well as playing feature sets on local university radio 101.5 UMFM (Bassline Dropouts, Saturdays nights from 7-9:30 CST) local Bassdrive.com show Rinseout Radio (also Saturdays from 7-?? CST) and (Drum and Bass in Your Face last Thursday of every month @ 10pm EST(on PushRadio.com) - Darlene feels quite secure in her place as one of the proud (and few) female DJs in Winnipeg, MB.
