i got a megadrive for xmas 91 with ESWAT

its a good console but not as good as the SNES

Ive downloaded a few megadrive titles on my WII

would recommend MERCS if you can find it, also CASTLE OF ILLUSION STARRING MICKEY MOUSE

I hate it when people say stuff like this, support your argument for fucks sake! I would say there were more 'killer apps' exclusive to the Mega Drive than there were to the SNES.

One of my favourite games on the MD was Speedball 2, one of the most ruthless and fast-paced sports games ever made!

its true though, the snes was more powerful and had some really high quality games which are still held in high esteem today

Nope sorry that's not strictly true, the Mega Drive had the faster processor of the two, the SNES had superior graphics and sound.

The MD vs. SNES debate could and probably would go on forever, I will never be convinced though that the SNES was the better all round console just because of the sheer number and variety of games available for the MD. In the SNESs favour though, what it did have over the MD was better controllers, when SF2 SCE came out (Turbo was for wimps :agree:) they had to release a six button pad to go with it whereas the SNES had six buttons in the first place.
