im getting abit pissed off with all the samples i have and need some clean fresh basic, breaks, bass, pads, strings, noises, fx etc so the natural conclusion is to buy a sample CD...

But which one, there are so many.... please point me in the right direction..... i gather most people use sample cd's in theor production and i know it makes things abit easier...

obviously im not going to rely entirely on a sample CD, i do enjoy digging for samples aswell, i just need some basic foundations on which to build tunes..

Help me please...

dunno dont even own 1 sample cd ! for pads/strings/noises/fx .... how about z3ta+ soft synth or absynth/albino ??

I know this ain't what you're asking here so I will shut up ...but you can't go wrong with some phat original sounds from those synths !

breaks are easy to come by. check the doa grid cos there are loads of links to break downloads. things like pads and synth noise are better when you program them yourself on a synth or whtever. sample cds are usually quite expensive so downloading is your best option. also check eLAB (http://www.elab.se) for the new smokers delight cd. you can also d/l samples in rex and wav format and reason refills.

Not only d/l em but get involved in online communities for dnb production.

The dnb arena production mail list is good sometimes - as are the x million other production forums on the net -

You'll find someone who want to do sample swaps . . .

Then once u get known, doors open to dodgy FTP sites where u can d/l and u/l any samples / cd's u want.

Here's a lil' advice from me. Try using samples only for drums, and try to build all other sounds from synths. If not from scratch, then try to modify existing synth patches.

you need a wav collection like mine (10Gig) :agree:

be quite a good idea for this site, to have a sample swop page. @bane got a couple of cd's packed with samples which i could copy for you, mainly stuff from doa tho, another good site is BOURBON BISCUITS site, heres the address http://member.lycos.co.uk/bourbonbiscuit/
got all the individual papa new ginea samples on it plus other stuff.

with samples like pads, synths, strings etc... you could use loads of software synths. then u can fuk about with the samples pre loaded in the synth with efects n filters n that! :) (Absynth, ES1 etc..)

breaks, usually the net is a good place to find breaks an percussion! so just have a route about mate

try using the muon tau pro synth. its a 303 emulator (one of the best). i made a quality sub patch on that and its so easy to use.
