The Smirnoff Co. have launched a groundbreaking new initiative – Night Vision™ (http://www.facebook.com/smirnofforiginalnights) – to discover, support & celebrate up-and-coming promoters as part of their Smirnoff Original Nights (http://www.facebook.com/smirnofforiginalnights) programme, starting in Manchester this month.
The new initiative will fulfil two functions;
• An online advice & resource forum to anyone organising a night
• A two tiered bursary scheme for promoters;
1) offering contributions of £10,000 to four Manchester-based promoters, with a London-based scheme to follow in 2009.
2) Ten monthly bursaries of £2,000 to be awarded to promoters from around the Great Britain to help pay for the overheads of your night
Playing a key part of both these functions will be a panel of Night Vision experts – of which I’m pleased to say I am one
Information on Night Vision, details on how to apply and Terms & Conditions will be found online via the Smirnoff Original Nights Facebook page
The closing date for applications for the Manchester bursaries is next Friday October 3rd, when the four most progressive and forward thinking promoters selected will each receive £10,000. The resulting nights will form a season of events in Manchester throughout November that will culminate in Smirnoff Co.’s own take on an original night; Smirnoff Electric Cabaret®, taking place at Manchester Academy on Thursday November 27th.
