Don't know if anyone else has encountered this.
Only started last night. Seems to be something to do with the time bar or the loop manager, cause wot has been happenin is that now and again (or more frequently like last night) if I use short cut key '1' or use the pointer arrow to place the timeline at the chosen part of the choon, Cubase decides to completely turn itself off?:conf:
Anyone got any ideas on this.
Cheerz.
This has happened to me - I put it down to a crap cracked copy of Cubase SX.
Could just be a bug in Cubase.. Not that i'd know!
Software is never perfect :)

if you havent , try the upgrade 1.6 or whatever.
i use SX and occasionally i get the program dissapear with no warning (no save option).
i just get used to saving whenever i do anything new.
i get the odd lock up with certain plugins.
try turning of the plugins off one by one, to determine which one may be causing the problem. (Sometimes it's bad plugins)
Save different versions as well.
i use a crack. so i gues you have to put up with some shit if you get it for free.
if it is really bad, try installing a totally different copy.

got the 1.6 upgrade, but when i ran it, it asked me to ok the user name etc (which where input on previous install), then fucked me off saying that the info was wrong.
Anyway since a defrag I haven't experienced any problems.
Just out of interest, does any one know of any tweaks for XP that I can do to help run my audio software more efficiently?

the main one i did was to have my hard drive formated as FAT instead of NTFS. this stops windows doing it's own shit in the background whenever it likes. but you would have to do that at the start.
there were only a few things that i know (not technical) . like turning off your event sounds (the windows chimes and pings).
also not using the flash XP graphics. this just eases up the strain a tiny bit.
i havent done anything else.
But if anyone does know any good tips?
I'm just glad that mine is now working smoothly, and dont want to temp fate meddling about
I dont know anything about music software, but using the FAT32 filesystem is not a good idea. Its a horribly dated filesystem that is liable to data loss and corruption.
But if it helps..
