Tru Playaz up until recently were the ducks nuts if you loved quality funky, bass heavy Jump Up. As True Playaz head towards their 100th release I thought it was fitting to have a look back at some of the big tunes from their back catalogue.

The Playaz weren't just all about Jump Up. Pascal had a good hold on mellower musical tracks like Rollplay. Hype was the master of dubbed out Half-Beat tracks and Zinc could pretty much cover any style in the spectrum. Tracks like Fellowship - Dark Flower Remedy really show just how diverse a label they really were.

This mix covers from 1996-2002, but it by no means contains every great track released by the Ganja Kru. If anyone is up it I would love to have mixes that fill the noticeable gaps found in this session.

But he's have missed quite a few tracks like 'Pranksters', 'Peace Love and Unity' 'On fire tonight' 'Play the game' 'Bring the danger' 'Tighten up' 'Pink Panther' 'Disappear' 'Its like Dat' '6 million ways' 'Firing time' 'Toothbrush' 'Second Strike' 'Soul' 'No diggidy' - to name but a few.

But yes definately will have a piece of this, this was when Playaz/Ganja/Frontline were buy on site labels for me, might have to pull a few of them out the racks.

:hmm: could well do, he has used alot of the big tunes in there though so I would have to repeat a few tunes if i was to do it, as it would be rude not to.

infact what I might do is a best of 'DJ Zinc' to show people how good he was at dnb 10 years ago, he was where hazard is now back then.
