TRACKLISTING
A) GRIDLOK - DEADPAN Gridlok delivers the title track for the release. Drawing you in with trademark filtered funk guitar licks and a teasing female vocal. The track breaks down, giving you a moment to prepare for the imminent drop. Attempt to remain expressionless when the sub bass churn unravels! A track that will easily find a home in a diverse selection of DJ boxes.
B) GREMLINZ - FRANKIE GUNNS For the b-side we welcome back the Canadian connection – Gremlinz, with "Frankie Gunns". The soothing intro makes promises of hazy summertime vibes. This is nothing but false hope. The calm is swiftly shattered by hectic amen thunder and a brooding 808 storm. Before you know what's hit you the damage has been done and you're left searching for survivors in the wake of this track's devastation.
C) CHRIS SU - THE PEAK Next up, to Hungary where Chris SU picks up the baton with "The Peak". Quickly setting the scene with a tight minimal break which filters out into a stomping bass drop that swiftly takes control and continues the forward momentum. But more is to be revealed... filtered percussion skips over the track adding pace before it develops into a more hectic down and dirty grind. Slick future funk for any dance floor.
D) CERN - TRINITY The final cut takes us via New Zealand and to an exciting new addition to the Hardware Crew - Cern. "Trinity" brings instant tension with unnerving pad's and techy bass rasp's which build quickly to the drop where the drums stutter to a halt to make way for the heavy bass line that suddenly snakes out of the speakers. One to roll out in the mix.
