In Association with MIND ON FIRE + ANARCHISTIC UNDERTONES
A brand new collective event for Manchester fusing the live elements of Reggae / Dub / Ska / Hip Hop and Punk with a cheeky hint of Drum n Bass / Jungle and Dubstep on the side. What could be better!

As a film director / producer and DJ Don Letts is a true legend and pioneer of the Reggae / Dub sound, famed for his work introducing those sounds to the 80s London Punk movement he inspired the likes of THE CLASH into incorporating those elements into their music, he also formed a group with Mick Jones (Clash Guitarist) called Big Audio Dynamite in the mid 80s touring and enjoying hits on bothh sides of the Atlantic. His docu - film credits span over almost three decades producing documentaries featuring the Clash, Sex Pistols, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Beastie Boys, Mos Def, Skinnyman, Run DMC, Amy Winehouse to name but a few he also directed music videos for the likes of The Clash, The Jungle Brothers, The Pogues, Black Grape, Eddie Grant, Bob Marley, Bennie Man and many more. We are proud to welcome Don for an exclusive Manchester set at this event.

Woli Wols, Chalk, Joey Average, Old Bill Sykes and Jambox. Their style can switch from playful to poignant in the space of a bar and the full live show is not one to be missed. Consisting of 3 MCs a beat-boxer and DJ/Producer TNC bring the true school Hip-Hop vibes, constantly mixing the old skool with the new.

The original Mind On Fire line up performing an improvised jam session from the core members of the collective encompassing dub, hip hop and funk with guest vocalists. Expect a spontanious mixed bag and an anything goes attitude.

BALLS DEEP IN YOUR NANA - LIVE
A brand new Hip Hop MC crew from Manchester and the brainchild of Producer / MC - Bricks featuring MCs from across the Manchester region performing live, with plenty of vulgarity as standard this crew will be telling it like it is.

Solo acoustic set from this talented young artist making moves for 2009. Ali will be performing his latest solo material expect styles a plenty taking influence from across the musical spectrum. Ali will also be going 'Balls Deep In Your Nana' performing with crew.

yes really nice varied line up on here, something for everyone and some topo up and coming bands.

Make sure to check myspaces for DUBSIDE, LOST RITES and TNC (personal favs) all acts very taltented tho.

Enjoyed that Mr Wharton. We should go back to back more often. That little DJ box gets so hot though, the sweat kept dripping onto my vinyl while I was playing it lol.
