Does anyone know of any software that lets you record the sound from an MPEG playing, or Streaming audio?

I have Wavelab SoundForge etc.

I want to record some sound clips from some films i have on DivX AVI and MPEG.

I could route my output to my input with a jack to jack lead, but that would be very gay, as you couldnt hear what you were doing.

most soundblasters have a "what you hear" record function which does exactly what it says on the tin.

Or last resort ... go the long way around, and play the file with your audio out going to an MD or mp3 player, then play em back into your audio editor ...

Search for a program called "Total Recorder"

It's does what it says with any soundcard . . . . . .

But if the stream buffers you get that recorded too - although just open the wav in Soundforge later on and delete the silence. Should fit together perfectly :D

open the mpeg up in cubase and extract the audio. you can record internally with an audiophile too. set your input as mixer/monitor in wavelab or cubase etc.
