Does anyone use reason? Ive just got it and im trying to get to grips with it. It seems good but i think the sampler is a bit shit. Does anyone have any advice on how to create beefy heavy basslines on reason, all the synth presets are a bit weak. Any advice on any aspect of using reason would be of help to me so please, tell me what you know.
nice one buds.

you can get some top matrixy style bassed with the synth. if you fuck with the square&fair preset - a bit of low pass LFO you should start getting some nice results. I also find a touch of distortion on snares and hats does the trick. I wassnt sure about reason at first but if you fuck about with it for a bit there are some wicked sounds in there
Yeah - I have just installed it and am starting to coollect samples for my first ever foray into making music. I dont have a fucking clue what Im doing...so fingers crossed, I'll have a d n b anthem in just inder a week.
ahem.
All advice/tips/tricks/tutorials appreciated (on reason).

Reason does the job - and it's intuitive layout makes it quick and easy to get ideas down......
......but the EQs are absolute shite.
I'd strongly reccommend getting Cubase or Logic and 're-wiring' it through them. You don't need to know a hell of a lot about these packages to do it, but it allows you to use a full complement of nice plugins over your Reason sounds.
Good luck...
