Right, i havent begun producing yet but i will do in due course (by the end of the summer with any luck). But i have a question, what are the benefits of the new Cubase SX as opposed to Cubase 5 for example? As im a beginner should i just go straight for SX to reap its benefits from the start.??
I know there are fundamental differences in its opporation but look past that. In simple terms is it that much better?

Cubase sx is basically cubase 5 but build on the neuendo engine - better for audio.

The interface has also been updated to windows standard.

I've got it but I know my way around version 5 and it does what I want.

Cubase SX enables you to link several PCs in relay, sharing the proccessing power and memory. Also I think you can have extra monitors, say one for FX, one for the sequencer.
