Sample Rate?

Whats the best size of sample rate to use on an audio editor?

Mine has default settings from 8000 to 48000Hz [and "other"]... The higher the sample rate, the better the sound quality; but the overall file size also increases [so usin 44100Hz makes a much bigger file compared to 8000Hz - but the sound quality is much better]...

Any setting(s) to recommend?

i always use 44100HZ personally, file size isn't really important it's the quality. most samples will be found in 44100Hz no-one uses 48000hz (apart from ps2 games - bit of useless info for you people.)
