This sounds interesting - if north wales needs a dnb night can you guys get together and sort a venue out, then maybe a few of us from here will come down and do some stuff with ya.

Were abouts is it in north wales? Can you think of a venue thats not in the middle of a forest and do ya reckon the night would be on a weekend?

ok guys! this is well exciting..ok Bangor way there are 2 venues of note..bangor uni has its own nightclub called TIME,no being signed in shit,but there are nights there every saturday and the way in is thru a dj called hadj who has the 2nd saturday of every month email him...badaboom@yesmate.com...but when i approached him he was being precious about "his night" ..but much more interesting is a place called Hendre Hall just outside Bangor available for private parties..its got 2 rooms inc massive stone walled barn with open fireplace...well cool venue but im told its fully booked for next 3 months cos it popular for parties...i think we'd need the 6K rig too!!

Ok guys - so what the plan here. It looks like wales needs a night - and can we get one sorted soon? Whats the plan - how does it move forward. I spoke to SOL and he said ok to me n him going down doin back II back, ill get on the mc a bit too and so would tippa -d...there are other mc's and dj's on this list who will play for free and we have the rig thanks to the void crew...so whats the beef?

Its a converted barn in Colwyn Bay 40min drive from bangor.(its a sick little venue, no wartehouse ting)

dat other venue soundz sick aswell.

Well due to the fat response i will try and sort it sooner( target is for July, August)

I'm grinning like a tw*t already @ the very idea of some (REAL!) D&B making it's way up to North Wales. Time is probably the best venue; given that its got the best sound rig in N.Wales (ok .. it aint really that hard a competition...). It's true that the guy who runs the B&B/breakbeat/old skool nite there ("BaDaBoom") is way too far up his own arse ... But there is a way around that. He's not a Time resident - there aren't any. They just book the place to put on their own nites. Just that ppl happy to let em carry on doin it. I know Time's licensee ... maybe Time could be booked for a D&B nite without involvement of tosser Hadj, provided there enuf interest...

Just had nuther thought. Yknow Bangor GONE4SMOKE1? Well yknow "The Barrels" down the bottom of town? It's been refurbished and had it's license taken over by Time; it's now called "Joop" or Joop Club or something. The idea was that they'd use that venue to put on nites that might not fill Time (max capacity just under 2000), or also so that they could put 2 nites on in 2 venues on same nite. I've not been in there yet ... But it might be an idea to consider... Like I said, I can find out more bout bookin it & stuff if there's interest. L8rZ :D

Alright all, just got back from holiday and by the looks of things everything looks good up in the north west. I agree a launch night for the site comprising all of our nights would do alot to promote the north west and get the site known to alot of people. Keep up the good work Lee, will be back in Liverpool tomorrow so will give you a call.
