very nice, fat sub. Like the swooshy noises.

My only criticism is the pads sound a bit off key in the intro.

Second drop rolls in really nice.

the Waves plug-ins are good for fatting everything up, you can put them on in Cubase or save your processor and just add them in Soundforge after exporting your tune.

The Waves Ultramaximiser is good.

Like Affray said, not really feelin those pads that come in at 46 secs, they are out of key with the others. Some good fx noises in there. Too many key clashes for me, which is a shame cause I really like the beats/breaks and the sub. Get them elements working in tune with one another and this'll be a good track I reckon.

I don't think those pads are out of key - at least not to my (currently drunken) ear.
I find em a bit "obscure" but not in the least out of place; and I can imagine the drop into those keys being quite nice to mix with - a subtle change as you bring the track in ...

I (from my uneducated stance) would say "keep em" cos they add a certain "something" to the tune. I like em

I just listen to stuff from the point of view of how I think a tune would be for me to mix, and not being into production in the least, I don't know what Rich meant by "key clashes", cos there's nothing in this tune that makes me go "ouch!" - it all sounds well put together to me.
I know I could fit this tune into almost any set, whether it be "liquid / dubby / what the fuck ever".

The only thing I can think of is what everyone else has said - it needs a certain "something" to make it (the bass?) sound a bit fattter / bigger / deeper - but you can't really tell how it sounds on your p.c from a lo-quality snippet.

I like it a lot.
Definately the best thing you've done so far.
Just don't change those pads! (imo)

I would definately play this out.

Actually - you know what this tune reminds me of?
A Basic Unit track - mainly their (more quality imo) b-sides.

Check out "Dub Principles" for an example of an amazing, yet subtle and not "over the top" bassline.
Get that "feel" into this tune; and I reckon it'd be a fooking stormer!

the first set of pads sound good, it's when the second one comes in. It just needs moving up or down a few semi-tones until it's in key.

I would like to give this a tune a go when playing out.

That's what I meant, what Affray just said. It just doesn't sit well on my ears when the second pad is introduced with the initial pads. Apart from that I like the tune.

i think musicly it is out of key
i not relay a keybord player so i just played keys on me keyboard
and also think that compression has killed some of the delays in the tune spent a few hours last night fuckin round with it
the bongos sound well fatter now aswell
might add some mid range bass to it dunno yet i like it with just the sub and ive added a sort of reggae breakdown
ill post it up soon as i can probably next monday

just move the pad notes around until you get them in key and I reckon this will be a corker..bassline and drums are fat as fook

Easy DS...

Liking this one alot fella... good warm sound to it & the bassline is quality.

Can hear the out of tune/key bit but to me it's not too jarring.

Keep up the good work...
